West Ham willing to agree ‘sensational’ Declan Rice swap deal

According to Football Insider’s sources, West Ham would be open to a sensational summer trade that would involve the exchange of Declan Rice for Kalvin Phillips as well as cash.

Rice will have just one year left on his contract when the main transfer window opens, and multiple top Premier League clubs are showing interest in signing him despite the fact that the Londoners face the possibility of losing their star player.

Despite the fact that they acquired Rice’s England teammate Phillips in a deal worth £45 million last summer, Manchester City is one of the teams keeping tabs on the situation surrounding Rice.

Pep Guardiola has publicly criticized Phillips and accused him of returning from the World Cup “overweight.” This comes as Phillips’s dream move turns out to be a nightmare for the club.

Rice, on the other hand, is West Ham’s best player and the club’s most valuable asset. A summer transfer for a significant amount of money seems almost certain to take place.

The possibility of trading a player in addition to cash in order to acquire a proven top-tier Premier League star is an intriguing one.

Following the dressing down that Phillips received from Guardiola, Football Insider reported earlier this week (1 January) that the Irons have rekindled their interest in the player.

West Ham United, led by manager David Moyes, were rumored to be interested in making a bid of £50 million to acquire the services of the former star player for Leeds United.

After signing with City, Phillips has only logged 57 minutes of club football action due to the fact that he has been sidelined for a significant portion of the current campaign due to shoulder surgery.

The former star player for Leeds agreed to terms at the Etihad Stadium that will keep him under contract until 2028.

In the meantime, Rice has started every game for West Ham in the Premier League this season, and he was a member of England’s starting eleven for each of their matches at the World Cup in Qatar.

West Ham
Man City is currently in second place in the Premier League table, five points behind the team that is currently in first place, Arsenal.

Irons, managed by Moyes, are currently in 17th place and are safe from relegation only due to their superior goal differential.
